The RCGSL Board is a committed group of volunteers who strive to ensure each player's experience is positive and provides quality softball education.  Players learn the rules of the game, how to demonstrate good sportsmanship, and build lasting friendships while having fun on the field.

The RCGSL Board welcomes and encourages any interested parent or guardian to help with coaching, team management, field preparation, and/or participating on the board.   As always, we are open to feedback and comments in an effort to continue growing our league.

Waitlist Guidelines:

The waitlist begins immediately following the close of registration.

Players will be placed on the waitlist according to #1) their age appropriate division and #2) by waitlist registration date.  If you are waitlisted and requesting to play up a division, priority will be given by DOB (oldest to youngest). Once rosters are set, you will be notified on space availability.

Buddy Request Guidelines:

Buddy requests are only open to Rookies (6U) and Juniors (8U) divisions.  RCGSL will attempt to honor all buddy requests, but please note that we cannot guarantee all requests will be granted in order to keep teams balanced.

Coach Request Guidelines:

Coach requests are only open to Rookies (6U) & Juniors (8U) divisions.   Please consider volunteering to coach or assistant coach if you would like to ensure your daughter's coach request is honored.

Player Evaluation Day:

All players in Minors (10U), Majors (12U) and Seniors (14U) are required to attend an evaluation day to determine skill levels. Players in Rookies (6U) and Juniors (8U) requesting to play up in a higher age division are required to attend the appropriate evaluation day as well. Evaluations will be used by coaches to assist with roster formations and help create balanced teams.

  • All Players are required to attend the MANDATORY evaluation day on Saturday, January 10th. There will be one make-up day.
  • Evaluators will observe batting, base running, and fielding skills.
  • Pitchers & Catchers will be evaluated separately.
  • Most importantly, ball safety is the priority for all divisions.
  • Evaluations may also be used for the formation of our Spring Select Teams.

Play Up Requests:

We encourage players to play within their designated age division in Spring. Players will automatically be registered in their age division. If your daughter would like to be considered to play up to the next age division, they MUST attend the evaluation day in the requested division to determine skill level and ball safety.  Our goal is to create the most balanced teams and this will be the priority when determining play up requests.

Refund Protocol:

A full refund will be available prior to final rosters.

50% refunds will be made available after rosters are finalized.
